Pedro Pérez - Devlog Week 6
Hello once again!
In the sixth week of development for Hanafuda Samurai we've been focused on getting ready for MOJO, since it's around the corner
I've finished the UI design, as well as a new health bar.
Meanwhile, Joao is taking care of the code behind the UI, since he's more familiar with the player's code. We've also had to prepare the second version of the design document, tech document and the playtesting plan, we delivered those documents on tuesday and wednesday respectively.
After that, I was tasked with remaking the main menu screen and making a poster for the game, in order to give the game the best look possible before MOJO.
It took me more time than I'm willing to admit, but I'm pretty happy with the result! (For some reason I can't upload it here, it says that I'm exceeding the maximum post size, I'll try to upload it in the game's page )
And this is what the new main menu looks like:
I've tried to take as much inspiration as possible from the hanafuda cards, since it's the main theme of the game.
I would have wanted to do more programming related work (or level design) but I'm very busy with other projects, so this is all for this week
